These lessons help us explore specific forms of hate, bias, and inequality that need attention in specific communities and across the nation. We refuse false beliefs about “group” inferiority or superiority and investigate the ways our society has treated specific “groups” unfairly. Treat any lesson as an onramp to ongoing learning about the issues at hand. (We love Teaching Tolerance’s Social Justice Standards, which make the case for ongoing exploration of identity, diversity, justice and action.)

Remember: plan to end any #USvsHate lesson by inviting students to create anti-hate messaging in any media. See Getting Started for overall instructions and contest dates.
